A Hephzibah woman was arrested after a man was shot during a domestic dispute Sunday evening in Richmond County.
Andreanna Bottoms, 24, was booked Oct. 4 in Richmond County on charges of aggravated assault-family gun and possession of a firearm or knife during commission of a crime. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called around 5 p.m. to Augusta for a reported shooting with one person injured.
Investigators said deputies found that a dispute had broken out between a man and a woman before the woman allegedly fired a gun, striking the man. He was taken to a local hospital, and his injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.
Bottoms was detained at the scene, and investigators continued to review the case.
