Richmond County driver booked after deputies end pursuit with PIT maneuver
Harold Rodriguez, 27, was booked June 28 in Richmond County on charges including fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after deputies said he led them on a pursuit that ended with a PIT maneuver on Olive Road.
According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, deputies tried to stop Rodriguez on I-520 on June 28 after clocking his vehicle at 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputies said he refused to stop and drove through several roads, including on the wrong side of the roadway, creating danger for other drivers.
The sheriff's office said deputies ended the pursuit on Olive Road with a PIT maneuver and took Rodriguez into custody without injury.
