Springfield man booked after Aiken County drug search warrant
Charles Johnson was booked June 17 in Aiken County on cocaine trafficking, meth trafficking, drug possession and weapon charges after the Aiken County Sheriff's Office said deputies executed a drug-related search warrant at a home in Springfield.
The sheriff's office said investigators seized about 2,700 grams of cocaine, about 9 pounds of marijuana, about 65 grams of methamphetamine, 45 dosage units of oxycodone, a semi-automatic handgun and $8,000 during the search. The agency also said Aiken County Code Enforcement seized 11 pit bull dogs at the residence, and Johnson was charged by Animal Control with ill-treatment to animals.
The sheriff's office said Johnson was out on bond from a separate 2022 narcotics case tied to the same Springfield residence when he was arrested.
