Augusta driver booked on felony eluding charge after slow-speed pursuit
Deputies said the 32-year-old did not stop for a traffic stop, and after a PIT maneuver they reported smelling alcohol on his breath and hearing slurred speech.

Cruz Gerialan-Humberto, 32, was booked in Richmond County on a felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude after deputies said he led them on a slow-speed pursuit through Augusta on August 8. Booking records also show he was held for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said deputies tried to stop Gerialan-Humberto’s 2004 Lexus ES near Milledgeville Road and Barton Chapel Road at about 5:05 p.m., but he kept driving despite emergency lights and a siren. Deputies said he was not speeding, but did not stop until they used a PIT maneuver near London Boulevard and Barton Chapel Road by the entrance to Barton Village.
