Joseph Hedrick was arrested Aug. 31 in Columbia County after a crash in Martinez and faces traffic, drug and weapons charges.

A 23-year-old man was arrested after a crash in Martinez on Aug. 31. Joseph Hedrick was booked that day in Columbia County on charges including a drug offense, weapons possession, open container, failure to maintain lane, failing to immediately report an accident and improper use of a radio or mobile device while driving.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a crash on Stevens Creek Road in the Martinez area and later took Hedrick into custody.
Investigators said Hedrick left the scene after the wreck. Deputies searched the area, and he later went to the sheriff’s office seeking information about the vehicle.
News reports said deputies also accused him of possessing THC cartridges and a firearm during the incident.
